Language and literature have always been the focus of my studies and activities. After graduating in Italian Literature in Italy, I worked for years as an editor in a small publishing house in Milan, which helped me develop particular attention towards shades of meaning and language complexities. Later on, doing a Mphil at Cambridge University helped me explore Italian Literature and language even better, from a wider perspective, developing research skills and independent studying skills that I use to continue learning about my job, exploring new teaching techniques, and new approaches.
Having worked for two years as a teacher assistant in a Steiner school in Milan, I am confident with different class environments and group ages. The experience of leading creative workshops for children and my passion for art and crafts ensure that sometimes my lesson integrates hands-on and creative activities.
In summary, what I feel I can specifically bring to this job, is a deep commitment, passion, specialistic knowledge and the ability to get on with lots of different people, making learning an enjoyable activity and encouraging students to reach their goals. I believe the feeling of learning and progressing is one of the best feelings in the world, which everyone should be able to experience.
